Dalmatian

Dalmatians were used as carriage dogs to protect horses from stray dogs and predators.

The Dalmatian is the traditional mascot of fire departments because of its history with horse-drawn fire engines.

Dalmatians are born pure white and don't develop their signature spots until about two to three weeks of age, so every litter starts out looking like a box of plain marshmallows.
